Ann Pass hopes something can be done about the condition of Stratmor Drive.

“I’ve written you about two smaller less significant pot holes on Stratmor Drive. These are further down the hill [which is] a steep hill I never walk up. But I drove by and these are bigger and uglier. It is a very deep hole. Our street is crumbling away. It’s only two to three blocks long but is a cut-through for people driving and looking for easy access to Hugh Howell where it’s easy turning with a traffic light in rush hours,” she wrote.

We sent the item to the county and will keep you updated.

Two weeks ago, we told you about a busted water pipe.

“I live at 455 Celebration Court , SW [in Atlanta], which is behind and downhill from the address with the leak. The pipe has been spewing water for more than three weeks. The water flows downhill through another neighbor’s yard and has been cascading down my driveway for more than three weeks,” said Mack Jones.

We heard back from the city.

“A DPW crew went to the address and determined that this is a private property leak, and therefore the responsibility of the home owner to repair. Home owner has been notified of these findings,” said a city official.

Another water leak is bothering a reader.

“I’ve noticed an on going water leak on Piedmont Avenue near 14th Street, on the west side of the street, across from (near) Piedmont Driving Club. I’ve tried to identify the exact street address, but haven’t noticed it on the building. Nonetheless, a building near the former Daughter of American Revolution [building], has had a water leak for months which drains south toward 14th street. During this freezing weather, the drain is clogged and the water develops into ice at the intersection. I would think the city would try to determine if the water is coming from a hydrant leak, building pipe leaking or whatever. The amount of water going down the drain is ridiculous,” wrote William Worth.

We sent the item to the city and will let you know when its fixed.
