Larry Barton has some issues with a busy state highway.
“Could you check about getting the steel plate removed in westbound Ga. Highway 120 (Roswell-Marietta Highway) in front of the BP station at the corner of Johnsons Ferry Road and Hwy. 120. It’s been there over a year It has asphalt mounds at the edges making it a big bump. It is just east of Johnson Ferry road going west. on 120,” he wrote.
Barton also said Hwy.120 from Roswell to Marietta is in bad need of resurfacing and there is almost a constant rut where tires usually run.
“If they plan to resurface the road, it will take months to let the contract etc. It need repairs until it can be resurfaced,” he added.
We sent the item to DOT and will let you know when it’s fixed.

The reader urged smokers to use the car ashtray, not the streets. We sent the issue to DOT and keep you updated.

Paul Dunfee wants something done about Pine Valley Road NW. He said it strains credibility to be called a road.
“It is more a history of pothole repair techniques that have left little if any of the original pavement
in place. For months there had been an open 10 ft.hole in the road at 3093West Pine Valley Road NW. It was finally filled with concrete. The patch was ringed by orange cones joined with yellow tape. Three weeks later, the patch is still cordoned off with the cones and tape,” he wrote.
He added the fix occupies more than half the width of the road and when anyone parks along the curb opposite it, the road becomes impassible.
We sent the item to the city and got a quick response.
“All work done at that location has been completed. The cones and yellow tape have been removed and the road is open,” said press information officer Christina Cruz-Benton.
