New item-DeKalb County
Deloyd Johnson hopes a problem can be fixed that has lingered on and off for years.
“I live at 1723 Council Bluff Drive and across from my driveway is the entrance to Princess Street which over the past 10 years has continued to have broken up asphalt as the result of many poor patch jobs,” Johnson wrote.
He said the county promised to repair the road within 60 days, which did not happen.
“We the neighbors in Sagamore Hills could use your help in bringing attention to this very serious road hazard. It is unsafe and clearly being ignored by the county,” he added.
We sent the item to DeKalb County and will keep you updated.

Kevin Polite is concerned over a water break at Memorial Drive and Beech Drive.
“The break caused sinkholes along the residential streets of Beech Drive and Celia Way. These are not potholes, but sinkholes that are five-feet deep in several spots. The neighbors have been in discussion with DeKalb County and Commissioner Larry Johnson for this entire time. We were suppose to hear from DeKalb Watershed about a community meeting to update us on when the repairs will be started and how long it will take. We still haven’t heard back from DeKalb Watershed about the meeting,” he said.
We reached out to DeKalb County and will let you know when its resolved.

Rick Belgian is concerned over a new bridge.
“On Ga. 400, between the Mansell Road exit and Haynes Bridge, is the new Encore Parkway bridge, which has no exit onto Ga. 400,” Belgian wrote. He said the bridge has been partially blocking lanes on Ga. 400 for months.
“This has caused major slowdowns in an area already plagued by some of the worst traffic in Atlanta. The project now seems to be just in the decoration phase, as this bridge has extensive faux stone and ironwork that is only visible from the highway,” he added.
Belgian said contractors now seem to be landscaping the area under the bridge so hopefully they won’t store flammable materials there.
We sent the issue to DOT and will let you know a resolution.
