New item-DeKalb County
Fred Roberts hopes something can be done about his small street in DeKalb County.
“Our street (Hillbrook Way) is only one block long and doesn’t get lots of traffic, but we’ve been waiting at least a year for repair and repaving. DeKalb Watershed Management fixed a water leak and put down these steel plates last winter, and there they still sit,” said Roberts.
We sent the item to the county and will let you know when it gets fixed.

New item-Lawrenceville Highway
Jim Brewer is concerned over spills on a major connector highway.
“There have been two concrete spills on (Lawrenceville) Highway; one at the red light at the intersection with North Druid Hills Road and one about 900 feet northeast of there on the same highway.”
Brewer said the road is always dangerous because cars and trucks can be bounced into another lane, particularly so during wet conditions and he wants to see what can be done to make the highway safer.
“This intersection has bumper to bumper traffic during rush hours in the morning and afternoon, so most travelers have no sight of them or warning prior to hitting them,” he added.
We sent the item to DeKalb County who informed us the road is maintained by DOT. We will let you know when DOT addresses the issue.

New item-Holcombe Bridge Road
If it’s one thing that we constantly get calls and emails about it’s potholes. Potholes know no jurisdiction and this week we heard from a resident in North Fulton County.
L.L. Gilbert wants something done about potholes in the northern reaches of Fulton County.
“The right hand lane on Holcomb Bridge Road from Ga. 400 all the way to Nesbit Ferry Road is a series of long potholes and poorly repaired stretches that have been there for several years. To avoid them, one has to swerve into the left lane in front of other cars. I have seen no mention of plans to repair this long stretch and it needs it badly,” he wrote.
We reached out to Alpharetta officials, but they told us the road falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of Transportation, so we reached out to DOT officials and will keep you updated about the pothole-laden stretch of this busy road.
