Fixed!
In May, we told you about a resident’s frustration with the lack of action on a major thoroughfare.
“When is the city going to finish working on North Avenue between Peachtree Street and Juniper? They dug up the street back in December and then stopped working. They left cones and erosion bags in a pile. They also left a bunch of plates in the right turning lane onto Courtland,” David Rogie wrote.
We learned from city officials it had been fixed, and even received a picture of the completed work.

New item- DeKalb County
A reader is very concerned over a clogged drain in the Stoneview Subdivision in DeKalb County.
“When it rains hard, the drain on the right side of Maxey Hill Drive which is the street you enter the community, clogs making it difficult to use the right side of the road. The drain is three houses before the corner of Maxey Hill Drive and Monmouth Drive,” the reader wrote.
The reader added that there is a drain right across from it that should also be checked while are officials are out there.
“One of the neighbors indicated that they contacted DeKalb County about this and nothing has been done to my knowledge.”
