Austell has partnered with Georgia Power to remove the solar panels at Sweetwater Creek.
Now the stream camera is powered fully by electricity so that residents may connect 24/7 to check the level of Sweetwater Creek.
To access the stream camera, residents may visit the website at austellga.gov, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “‘Sweetwater Creek Live Webcam” icon on the left.
Once the camera is accessed, online viewers will have control of the camera for up to one minute to move the camera around in a limited viewing area.
However, during a potential flood event, the United States Geological Survey will have priority over the camera’s operation.
