The Suwanee City Council voted recently to approve a list of 11 city streets in need of resurfacing. These streets or portions of streets, totaling 2.95 miles, will be submitted to the Georgia Department of Transportation for a Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant.

Suwanee estimates the resurfacing will cost about $200,184. If approved for the LMIG funding, the city will be responsible for a 30 percent match, or about $60,055, of the total cost. The city will use SPLOST funding to cover their portion of the project.

Streets recommended for resurfacing include Rosewood View Drive, Yosemite Court, Bonneville Way, Danielle Way, Sawmill Drive, Dunsford Circle, Colony Point and portions of Suwanee Avenue, Landover Crossing, Ansley Park Drive, and Swiftwater Park Drive. The paving will most likely happen during third quarter 2020.
