The Suwanee City Council recently approved a $54,804 contract with Strickland & Sons Pipeline, Inc. for the Davis Street Waterline project. This is the same contractor who is doing the Buford Highway project, which will provide savings on mobilization and other construction cost savings.
The Davis Street 8-inch waterline project begins at White Street, runs down Davis Street and extends across Buford Highway to King Street. The length outside the Buford Highway Improvement Project is approximately 435 feet and will give the water system a second connection across Buford Highway.
