High school graduates in Fayette County will receive surveys in addition to diplomas to help gauge the effectiveness of the school system’s programs.

On Oct. 19 the Fayette County Board of Education unanimously approved a $45,000 annual contract with Hanover Research to devise customized surveys that will track students’ college and career success within six, 12 and 18 months of graduation.

The data will be used to help determine which courses and programs benefit students the most, and to identify challenges faced by alumni that would indicate potential school system improvements.
