Expect partly cloudy skies Monday before rain and thunderstorms return Tuesday.
Monday's high temperature should reach 80 degrees before a cold front moves in, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said.
“Four of the next five days look very nice," Nitz said.
Clouds are expected to increase Monday before showers roll in Tuesday afternoon, Nitz said. While some of those storms could be severe, they're not expected to be anything like the deadly weather that hit Georgia and the rest of the Southeast last week, he said.
Showers are expected to roll in Tuesday afternoon and last through the evening, Nitz said.
Wednesday should be dry, but windy and cooler, Nitz said. High temperatures will reach only the upper 60s as the clouds clear. The forecast for Thursday and Friday includes plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the middle 70s.
