On May 16, gather up your old credit cards, bank statements and bills, and head up to Milton.
That day, the Milton Police Department is hosting a free “Secure Shredding” event where folks can get safely get rid of documents containing their private data.
“This is a great opportunity to safely shred any documents containing your personal information and help prevent identity theft,” reads a Facebook post on the event.

Shredding will happen that day from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Milton Police Department at 13000 Deerfield Parkway. Officers will shred your documents while you wait.
