Stockbridge will host a community blood drive from 10 a.m. to -4 p.m. Wednesday to help rebuild blood supplies hurt by the coronavirus pandemic.

Donors 17 years old and older who are in good health are being sought for the drive, which will take place at the Ted Strickland Community Center, 130 MLK Senior Heritage Trail. Donors also must weigh at least 110 pounds and feel well at the time of the donation.

"This is a critical time in our community, " said Stockbridge Councilwoman Yolanda Barber, who is sponsoring the blood drive. "It's more important than ever that we come together as one community to support all of us. Our neighbors need our help and we must answer the call.”

The first 50 blood donors will receive free masks and hand sanitizer. All donors will receive a complimentary T-shirt.
