State approves grant funding for 2 road projects in Peachtree Corners

Gov. Nathan Deal recently announced grant funding from the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank will fund two road projects in Peachtree Corners.

One $202,960 grant will help finance the reconstruction of the intersection at Peachtree Corners Circle and Medlock Bridge Road into a roundabout with sidewalks and multi-use trails.

A $2 million grant has been awarded to Gwinnett to widen Spalding Drive between Winters Chapel and Holcomb Bridge. Spalding Drive is expected to go from two or three lanes to four or five lanes.

The project will include two lanes in each direction and new or extended turn lanes at intersections, a bridge replacement, signal modifications and sidewalks.
