The schedule for some of Fayette County’s regular government meetings will be modified due to the December holidays, with several bodies meeting just once this month instead of twice.

The county’s Board of Commissioners will meet at 2 p.m. on Dec. 12; likewise, the City Council of Peachtree City will have a single called meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 12. Tyrone’s Town Council will have its only December meeting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 5. However, Fayetteville’s City Council will convene at its regular schedule at 6 p.m. on both Dec. 5 and Dec. 19, although the council will consider at its Dec. 5 meeting whether to postpone its first 2020 meeting from Jan. 2 to Jan. 9. The Fayette County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting as scheduled, at 7 p.m. on Dec. 16. The town councils of Woolsey and Brooks already hold only one monthly meeting, on the second and third Monday of the month, respectively.
