The Snellville Police Department will host the city’s National Night Out Against Crime event on August 2.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Snellville’s Town Green.

People who go to the event will be able to meet local police and safety officers;  see K-9 demonstrations; and visit with representatives from local colleges that offer criminal justice degrees.
