Snellville announces qualifying dates for Nov. election

Snellville will hold a General Election Tuesday, Nov. 5 to elect a mayor and two city council members for the positions currently held by Mayor Barbara Bender and Council Members Dave Emanuel and Roger Marmol.

Candidates interested in qualifying to run for election may do so 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon., Aug. 19 through Wed., Aug. 21 in the office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 2342 Oak Road. The qualifying fee for mayor is $360 and $240 for a council post.

The voter registration deadline is Oct. 7 for residents wishing to vote in this municipal general election.
