The Smyrna Police Department has launched a video registration program called “Smyrna View.”

This voluntary program allows citizens and business owners to register their security videos in case there is an incident that happens in their area.

The police do not have direct access to the video.

If an incident occurs, the Smyrna Police Department still would have to go to whoever has the video and ask for permission to view the video.

A yard sign will be given to the first 100 registrants.

After that, anyone who wants a sign will have to pay $15.
