Smyrna to close roads on Nov. 27

Smyrna officials will close the following streets for the Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department’s Coming Home for the Holidays.

Hours of closing will be 4-11 p.m. on Nov. 27.

Closed streets will be:

  • Bank and Stephens (at the dentist parking).
  • West Spring Street (at the Gazebo).
  • Bank at Village Walk.
  • Atlanta Road at Village Green Circle.
  • Community Center parking lot entrance from Village Green.
  • Smyrna Library parking.

However, the event is scheduled for 5-8 p.m. with children’s activities in the small gym with arts and crafts booths, a s’mores bar and Christmas photo cut-outs.

At 7 p.m., a Christmas parade will begin followed by Santa lighting the Christmas tree.

After the Christmas tree lighting, children may visit with Santa in Santa’s Park at the end of the hall in front of the small gym.

Pictures with Santa will be taken by the Smyrna Optimist Club.
