Smyrna city offices now will be closed all day for Christmas Eve instead of half a day.

This change was approved Monday by the Smyrna City Council.

The city has been the only jurisdiction in Cobb County that does not observe at least 10 holidays.

Also, all Cobb government jurisdictions, except Smyrna, observe a full day for Christmas Eve.

In 2015 and last year, the Smyrna City Council added the half-day observance for Christmas Eve.
