The funeral service for Smyrna Deputy Police Chief Michael Brown will be 11 a.m. Friday at Smyrna First United Methodist Church, 1315 Concord Road. Brown, 63, died Monday after he had a heart attack while eating lunch with his staff. He seved 38 years with the Smyrna Police Department including 15 years as deputy chief. He is survived by his wife Monika.
