Three proposed new policies were announced at the March 11 regular meeting of the Henry County Board of Education and made available for a 30-day public review and comment period.

The first, titled “Henry’s Plan of Action,” is designed to implement the district’s “core beliefs and commitments for the purpose of creating and sustaining a high-performing school district that educates all children to high standards and prepares students to be healthy and active contributors to a global community.” The second is a revision of a previous policy regarding instructional materials. The third is about grading systems.

Each of these has been posted on the district’s website until April 5 for review by citizens, who are also encouraged to provide feedback.
