Sandy Springs has scheduled two public meetings for Nov. 16 to take final public comment on the Next Ten Comprehensive Land Use Plan, the city’s official vision for the next 10 years.
The first meeting is 9:30 a.m. to noon at Chastain Horse Park, 4371 Powers Ferry Road; the second, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Sherwood Event Facility, 8610 Roswell Road. Residents will be able to view the proposed plans, hear from the Next 10 planning team, ask questions and comment.
“This has been a long and intensive process, beginning more than a year ago with visioning sessions” said Mayor Rusty Paul. “We’ve hosted a large number of meetings and workshops in order to involve the community, include their input and make sure we carry forward a vision that is comprised of collective community thought.”
Drafts of the updated Comprehensive Plan and the four detailed Small Area Plans – Roswell Road, Perimeter Center, MARTA Station Areas and Powers Ferry – can be viewed at: www.thenext10.org.
