Sandy Springs plans an open house later this month to update residents on planned improvements to Sandy Springs Circle from Hammond Drive to Mount Vernon Highway.
The informational meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 17 at City Hall, 7840 Roswell Road. A short presentation is planned. Exhibits on the project will be on display, and city staff will be available to answer questions.
As outlined in the City Springs/City Center master plan, the Circle project would improve pedestrian access with a 12-foot-wide multi-purpose path, sidewalks and landscaping on the west side of the street; and sidewalks and landscaping on the east side.
The existing, four-lane roadway would be modified to provide a single 11-foot-wide travel lane in each direction, a 10-foot-wide median/left turn lane, and an 8-foot-wide parking lane.
