The Sandy Springs City Council has approved an approximately $1.3 million contract to construct about 1,500 linear feet of concrete stormwater drainage pipe along Mabry Road.

The Dickerson Group Inc. submitted the lowest of three bids for the project, which entails drainage improvements; roadway, sidewalk and curb and gutter reconstruction, and erosion control measures, according to a staff report to the council.

The project extends along Mabry from an existing low point in Glenridge Drive to Marsh Creek where it crosses Mabry, staff said. The city has about $1.7 million available in local stormwater funds to complete the project.
