The Sandy Springs City Council has accepted the $3.75 million bid of Stewart Brothers Inc. for the FY 2018 Capital Resurfacing Contract for local streets.

A city map lists 52 streets to be resurfaced this fiscal year. The three longest stretches are Riverside Drive from Coldstream Court to Johnson Ferry Road, 11,013 feet; Glenridge Drive from Mount Vernon Highway to the Glenridge Connector, 9,061 feet; and Brandon Hall Drive from Spalding Drive to the end of the street, 5,579 feet.

Stewart submitted the lowest of six bids for the project, staff said in a report to the council. The project is part of the Georgia Department of Transportation Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant program.
