Sandy Springs cops seek suspect recorded allegedly trying to enter car

Sandy Springs police say this man tried to enter a vehicle, but  the agency said the vehicle was equipped with cameras that captured the man in act.

Sandy Springs police say this man tried to enter a vehicle, but the agency said the vehicle was equipped with cameras that captured the man in act.

Sandy Springs police said on Tuesday they want the public’s help finding a suspect recorded trying to open a car.

The suspect tried to pull open the car door handle on Nov. 26 about 10:30 a.m., according to a Facebook post from the Sandy Springs Police Department. The suspect ran when a person walked by.

The car was equipped with cameras that recorded the incident.

When ask for more details on the camera system, Police spokesman Sgt. Samuel Worsham pointed out a person who'd commented on the Facebook post saying it was their Tesla Model 3, which is equipped with security cameras.

Worsham on Wednesday said he did not immediately know where the alleged crime had occurred.
