A “Roswell Historic Assets Summit” has been called to define a collective vision for historical properties owned by the city.
The City Council will meet in a special called work session facilitated by the Atlanta Regional Commission, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Adult Recreation Center, 830 Grimes Bridge Road. Participants will talk about vision, relationships among city partners, and structure and governance, according to a city notice of the meeting.
ARC’s agenda covers such topics as key events that brought us to today; activities, promotions and other marketing opportunities that required or resulted in interactions with city partners; and a consensus on next steps. Mera Cardenas, executive director of the Arabia Mountain Heritage Area Alliance, will be the lunch speaker.
Stakeholders identified by ARC – to name a few – range from the Historic Preservation Commission and Roswell Historical Society to the Roswell Women’s Club, Friends of Roswell Parks, Historic Roswell Business Association and organizations involved with the Archibald Smith Plantation, Barrington Hall and Bulloch Hall.
