After weeks of limited hours due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Roswell Recycling Center on Maxwell Road is now open with normal hours and operations, though with service still restricted to city residents and businesses.

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, according to a city announcement. Businesses can visit the center Wednesday through Friday during normal operating hours.

“Residents are no longer required to remain in their vehicles but should practice social distancing as a personal protective measure,” the city said. “Recyclables are no longer required to be in vehicle trunks or in the bed of pickup trucks. Shredding, while you wait, will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m.”

Those who prefer to drop off items to be shredded can do so throughout normal operating hours; the materials will be locked up and shredded when staff is available.

The Recycling Center is at 11570 Maxwell Road. Information: https://bit.ly/2CdvFuy
