The Roswell City Council has approved two contracts totaling $193,985 with Grade Co. Inc. to replace water lines on La View and Blackberry courts, as well as a permanent easement for a water project on Millbrook Circle.

Two-inch galvanized steel water lines on La View and Blackberry will be replaced with a combination of six-inch ductile iron and two-inch “Municipex” polymer water lines, staff said in reports to the council.

The projects are intended to improve water flow, pressure and quality for customers, staff said. Also, new hydrants will provide fire protection.

Separately, the council approved an easement agreement for the construction, replacement and maintenance of the Millbrook Circle water line at 108 Milbrook. As part of the agreement, Roswell will pay $425 to MPP Investment Inc.

The project will add fire hydrants and improve water quality by installing 8-inch ductile iron pipe and 2-inch polyethylene pipe along Millbrook and the existing neighborhood, staff said. New water meters will be relocated from behind each unit to the front of each unit.
