“Summer Sounds,” a new Roswell family concert series, starts with two performances in August with plans to expand the program in future years.
Patrons of the successful Roswell Summer Puppet Series “are always disappointed that it only lasts seven weeks,” said Donna Clayton, coordinator of the Roswell Cultural Arts Center.
Now, a grant from Fulton County Arts and Culture and Fulton County commissioners, with matching funds by the city, “(give) us an opportunity to extend our children’s programs into the month of August,” Clayton said.
The Center will present "Pete the Cat Songs and Stories with Mr. Michael" at 10 and 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2 (tickets, $5); and "Secret Agent 23 Skidoo," a family hip-hop show, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 (tickets, $10). Tickets are available at RoswellCAC.com or by calling 770-594-6232.
A ticket is required for everyone ages 2 and up. Groups of 10 or more are encouraged to make reservations by calling 770-594-6232. The Roswell Cultural Arts Center is at 950 Forrest St. Information: https://bit.ly/2NYRELh
