The Roswell City Council has approved a revised intergovernmental agreement with Cobb and Fulton counties on replacing the Willeo Road bridge on the Cobb-Fulton county line.

According to the revised agreement, Roswell will pay all the costs of a possible multi-use trail and/or boardwalk from the bridge to the entrance of Willeo Park on its side of the bridge. Those costs are estimated to be $360,019.

Cobb and Roswell are splitting 50-50 the engineering, utility relocation and construction costs of the bridge replacement, estimated at $2.3 million total — slightly higher than previously but still within budget, Roswell staff said.

Fulton is acting solely as Roswell’s agent and has no financial responsibility for the project, the agreement says.
