The city of Roswell has a new logo. Council members approved a new design at their May 23 meeting.

The new logo features the city name and a more distinctive waterwheel design (similar to a design used up until this past December), commemorating the mill that Roswell King founded in the 1830s, which led to the establishment of the city. The new logo replaces an interim design approved late last year which proclaimed “Modern Spirit, Southern Soul.” New members who took their seat on the council this year had asked that the logo be reconsidered. A local group of graphic designers and artists came up with the new design approved by the council.

The city will phase in the logo over time as it will be added to city stationary, business cards, vehicles and the like.
