Four robbery suspects tried to run, but didn't get far from Atlanta police. They were quickly caught  Tuesday within minutes of their alleged crime, police said Thursday.

A man returning to his Georgia Avenue home told police he was approached by two gun-wielding juveniles who demanded cash, Atlanta police Sgt. Curtis Davenport said. Another person in the home also reported having items stolen, Davenport said.

The two juveniles then got into a waiting vehicle, which officers quickly stopped based on its description, Davenport said. The two juveniles and two men ran from the car but were caught by officers and placed under arrest.

Desmond Harris, 19, and Derrick Benning, 18, were each charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and various traffic offenses, Davenport said. The juveniles, whose names were not released, were charged with armed robbery, he said.
