The Henry County Zoning Advisory Board voted at its May 14 regular meeting to table a variance request involving 76 acres located at 761 Clark Drive, north of Fairview Road. It is the site of a facility operated by Copart, which deals in online vehicle sales, and it is not open to the public. The applicant proposes to replace an aging office trailer on the property with a new structure, which automatically triggers building requirements for the overlay district, including the construction of a sidewalk, according to county staff.

The initial motion was to deny the request but it did not receive a second. After a motion was made and seconded to approve, subsequent discussion led to it being withdrawn so that a motion to table could be made so more information could be gathered.
