The American Red Cross continues to need donations for all blood types.

Red Cross blood donations are at the lowest they have been in 15 years, according to the organization. Officials blamed the low level on extreme summer weather and the July 4th holiday, when many people traveled and didn't donate blood.

To donate, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit www.redcrossblood.org. A blood donor card or driver's license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.
