Roswell residents are invited to a public walk-through of the East Roswell Park entrance off Fouts Road where renovations are to start in February, city officials announced.

The walk-through is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the park, 9000 Fouts.

Plans call for replacing the landmark sign and landscaping the front entrance; increasing trail connectivity and minimizing vehicle and pedestrian crossings by completing a loop trail around the perimeter of the park; and creating an outdoor gathering area and handicapped-accessible parking at the Art Center, officials said.

A number of trees will have to be removed, with most replaced by hardwood, flowering and evergreen species, officials said. The project’s Phase I, including tree removal and parking lot construction, will take place February through May.
