Pregnant woman, unborn baby killed in Gwinnett wreck

Police charge slain mother’s husband with vehicular homicide

A pregnant woman was killed late Saturday night in a Gwinnett County wreck, police said.

As many as four people were injured in the three-car wreck that killed 19-year-old Katerin Metina and her unborn baby, Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Michele Pihera said.

The woman’s husband and mother of the infant, Erasmo Santos-Ordonez, 30, was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide, feticide by vehicle and failure to yield while turning left, and will be in court Monday for his first appearance, authorities said.

He is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond, and is on an immigration hold, according to jail records.
