Riverview Road will be closed between Nichols Drive and Dickerson Drive until 5 p.m. July 9 for ongoing construction.
The Riverview / Dickerson intersection is being realigned to improve sight lines and to elevate the intersection above the 100-year flood plain.
Also, underground utilities will be excavated and relocated, bridging will be installed over an existing natural gas pipeline and the excavated area will be backfilled and shored.
This work is being coordinated with Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority staff to use the same road closure to perform scheduled maintenance work, avoiding a separate, future closure of Riverview Road.
