Sunday’s weather will continue the temperate and dry trend metro Atlanta has seen since the rain from Harvey tapered off.
This has been the sort of Labor Day weekend you’d want to bottle and save for the rest of summer, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said, but the humidity will return Monday and rain is expected in the next five days.
Temperatures have been about 10 degrees lower than average, Monahan said.
Currently, the temperature in Atlanta is 83 degrees.
“Just a couple of fair-weather clouds and no rain,” Monahan said.
The dry, comfortable morning air felt a bit like fall, which is still weeks away, Monahan said.
Later on Sunday the skies will stay mostly sunny with continued low humidity.
By 11 p.m. temperatures will settle into the low 70s.
On Labor Day the metro area can expect more clouds, but no rain and Tuesday brings only a 30 percent chance of showers.
