DeKalb County police are investigating a pair of Sunday night wrecks that left three people dead.

Both crashes happened in the southern part of the county and about 30 minutes apart.

About 9:30 p.m. a Chevrolet Camaro traveling north on Wesley Chapel Road struck a Honda Accord that was stopped in the center turning lane, DeKalb police Capt. S.R. Fore said.

The driver and a passenger in the Accord died, and the Camaro driver, 25-year-old Donte Grant, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Fore said in an email.

Those killed in the Accord were identified as Tammie Glenn, 48 — who was driving the car at the time of the crash — and Aaron Glenn, 49, Fore said in another email Monday afternoon.

About 30 minutes later, officers responded to a wreck on Linecrest Road just north of Catalpa Lane.

“Preliminary investigation suggests a white Ford Crown Victoria was traveling north when the driver lost control and crossed over the oncoming traffic lane,” Fore said.

“The Ford drove through the front yard of a residence, struck and uprooted a tree and struck a Chrysler 200 parked in the driveway.”

The impact pushed the Chrysler into the corner of the home’s garage, and the Ford continued through the front yard and into a wooded area, where it hit a group of trees.

Fore said a passenger in the Ford’s rear seat, 23-year-old Donte Huggins, was taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where he later died. The car’s driver and a front seat passenger suffered minor injuries.

Both crashes remained under investigation Monday morning, Fore said.
