Peachtree Corners officials unveiled plans recently for an iconic pedestrian bridge to traverse Peachtree Parkway and tie in with the city’s soon to be Town Center.

Leaders anticipate the bridge will not only provide a safe path over one of the area’s busiest thoroughfares, but that the design will make it the city’s premier landmark.

The bridge will span Peachtree Parkway from The Forum shopping center to the city’s Town Center, which is expected to break ground this spring.

The design includes a winding path, park benches, landscaping and other features for residents to enjoy. During the presentation Monday hosted by the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association, attendees were treated to a 3-D fly-through presentation, which simulates the path of the new bridge.
