Gwinnett’s newest city wants to build a downtown. And it wants help.

Peachtree Corners will hold an open house Monday to let local residents and workers weigh in on a plan to create a central business district in the city. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at city hall.

There, locals can share their thoughts on ways to integrate bike paths, pedestrian needs and the possible uses of aging strip malls. The open house is part of an Livable Centers Initiative that began in the spring and focuses on the area of Peachtree Parkway between Medlock Bridge and Holcomb Bridge roads,”

“This study will be the city’s roadmap for creating a well-planned central business district,” Mayor Mike Mason said in a statement.

Peachtree Corners was founded July 1, 2012. City Hall is located at 147 Technology Parkway, Suite 200.
