Peachtree City has adopted a $39.3 million budget for the coming fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1.

The City Council voted 5-0 Thursday to finalize the measure, which remained unchanged since the last public hearing in July. The city’s estimated revenue is $38.1 million, which will be augmented with $490,179 of surplus cash reserves and $652,394 from other sources to balance the expected expenditures. Departmental operating expenses, including public safety, public works, recreation, the library and planning and development, will account for $34.5 million in appropriations. General administration will cost just over $1.1 million. Another $4.4 million in funding will be transferred for capital improvement projects, debt service, the airport authority and trash and recycling services.
