The Cobb Innovation and Technology Academy will hold its final Parent Information Night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the South Cobb High School Performing Arts Center, 1920 Clay Road, Austell.

A part of the Cobb County School District (CCSD), this new academy will provide students with hands-on learning experiences and career opportunities.

Opening in August, this tuition-free academy is available to all Cobb County students in ninth through twelfth grades.

To be eligible to apply, students must:

  • Live within the CCSD or intend to move to the district before enrollment (proof of residency will be required).
  • Be on track to graduate.
  • Understand the importance of safety in a lab setting.

Students will receive their decision letters on a first-come, first-served basis and be asked to declare their commitment to attend CITA by March 13.

Magnet bus transportation will be provided to the academy, 114 Windy Hill Road, Marietta.

Students attending CITA will transfer to Osborne High School as their primary school.
