The Oxbo Trail, a pedestrian walkway through historic Roswell, will be closed to the public in the coming weeks for construction of a three-home development at the end of Maple Street, the city announced.

The trail will be closed where it skirts Big Creek and the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area between Sloan Street and Oxbo Road. A section of the trail between Maple and Sloan will be rebuilt as part of the project.

Construction will take place during the daylight hours. Pedestrians can use Elm and Maple streets as alternatives. The entire trail is expected to reopen to the public by May 30, weather permitting, officials said.
