Cobb Department of Transportation staff will host a public information open house for the Windy Hill Road–Terrell Mill Road Connector project 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at Brumby Elementary School, 1306 Powers Ferry Road, Marietta.

DOT staff will be present to discuss the project and answer questions, but there will be no formal presentation.

The proposed Windy Hill Road-Terrell Mill Road Connector project includes the construction of a nearly one-mile, four-lane connecting road from the intersection of Spectrum Circle/Interstate North Parkway and Windy Hill Road to the current Bentley Road and Terrell Mill Road intersection.

This project will provide congestion relief and a connection to the future Interstate 75 Northwest Corridor Managed Lanes entrance at Terrell Mill.

With the addition of a landscaped median, multi-use trail, sidewalk and lighting, the road also will be a new travel option that connects to the Bob Callan Trail System.
