Amparo Jaramillo is sharing her dream come true with the world: the launch of her first book, ‘Recupera tu poder.’

In her book, the Colombian native and life coach presents a series of tips and lessons from her own personal experiences, which she hopes will touch the hearts and minds of her readers and help them to take the reins and gain more control in their lives.

Although Jaramillo’s book is not written for any one audience in particular, she stated that she did write about her experiences with the type of detail to which other women will be able to identify and relate.

“I can’t make my spouse happy, nor my children, mother, nor the world, when I’m not happy with myself. Let’s not search outside for what we have within ourselves,” said Jaramillo.

For Jaramillo, it took years to realize that – like so many other women tend to do – she had become a source of protection and help for everyone else in her life, except herself. Then came the epiphany that she herself was the problem, but also the solution.

“When you aren’t in control, you have an unstable life, a sad life, an unsatisfied life, a life of ‘I want, I wanted, I would like.’ We have to take responsibility and take control of our life,” she explained.

Life lessons

Through sharing her personal experiences, Jaramillo offers practical advice so that readers can learn to identify five key components for happiness and success in their own lives: where they are; where they would like to be; what roadblocks and obstacles lie in the way; learning to take responsibility; and establishing an action plan.

“Since I was a little girl, I felt that life is not about getting up, eating, and sleeping. I’ve always felt that life is about leaving a mark, that we are here to be instruments of God,” said Jaramillo, whose book became a top seller on Amazon in Spain and Latin America, all in a matter of days.

In her book, Jaramillo invites readers to live according to their values, to be genuine, and to fight for their goals, and she emphasizes that it is never too late.

Jaramillo, who resides in Marietta, hopes that women hear her message and that her book will serve as a tool toward transformation and fulfillment in their own lives. “Whatever is happening to you right now is going to help you to get where you need to go, but never let the world allow you to abandon your dreams,” she assured.

“Be authentic, be honest with yourselves, honor your own values, and don’t forget that you have the power,” said Jaramillo.
