Sustainable Norcross and over 100 volunteers in the community met April 21 at the Norcross Community Center to discuss the possibility of building a sustainable and educational garden in historic Norcross. The effort, known as Discovery Garden Park, will further initiatives at the Norcross Welcome Center and Museum with nature based education outreach programs, citywide green living classes, community garden plots and other events.

The existing Norcross Community Garden has plans to donate food to five families this year. Earlier this month, two beds were added to help families through the Latin American Association, which is located next to the garden. View the April 21 meeting at:
