Norcross is seeking volunteers to participate in the city’s Comprehensive Plan Update Steering Committee and Stakeholder Interviews. The Steering Committee will consist of 7 to 12 people including one with a focus on economic development, one local elected official, and one member of the Planning and Zoning Board. The other 4 to 9 spots are open to involved citizens, business owners, committee or board members, and builders or developers to provide a broad cross-section of the community. There will be four meetings from July to October, ideally meeting on the third Wednesday of each month.

The Stakeholder Interviews will be conducted on June 20 at City Hall, 65 Lawrenceville St. Interested citizens should contact the city for a formal invitation.

In addition to these committees and interviews, there will be ‘pop-up’ events, web surveys, open houses and workshops for the general-public in the coming months to help involve as many of our citizens as possible in this process.

To participate in either the Steering Committee or the Stakeholder Interviews or for more information, contact Tracy Rye at Tracy.Rye@norcrossga.net. Final appointments will be approved by the Norcross mayor and council.
