The Norcross City Council approved plans to purchase land for a new park following a public hearing Monday. The land parcel at 205 Lawrenceville Street sits just north of the Norcross Welcome Center and Museum.

Norcross council members unanimously agreed to the purchase not to exceed $298,824 paid for using the city’s General Fund. The new park will be the tenth to be maintained by the city.
